There's a lot of steel and chemical production facilities on Zug Island. I have a neighbor who used to work there. He was an engineer and used to put a lot of sensors on various pipes in different buildings. These sensors monitored the temperature of fluids running through various pipes. He said sometimes workers would pull the sensors off and claim to be able to tell how hot fluids were in the pipe by "quickly touching the pipes". Some of the workers evidently didn't trust instruments very much.
